October is a busy month for Secret Lair. The Halloween-themed Corn Maze Superdrop opened yesterday, and two more premium products are lined up for the next few weeks. Below we cover what is on sale, which cards actually matter at a Commander table, and whether each drop is worth your money. Card values are approximate TCGplayer market prices for the cheapest existing non-foil printing, checked on October 13. They move quickly, so treat them as a rough guide.

Corn Maze Superdrop: The Basics
Corn Maze went live on October 12 at 9 a.m. PT on the official Secret Lair store, with a pre-queue opening an hour earlier. It holds eight drops and 46 cards in total, almost all reprints of existing Commander cards with new art and, for the licensed drops, new names. Every drop costs $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil.
- Bundles: Pumpkin Spiced Non-Foil Bundle $239.92, Full Moon Foil Bundle $319.92, and the A-Maize-Ing Everything Bundle (all 16 versions) $539.99.
- Bonus: a foil Maze of Ith reimagined as “The Labyrinth” for every $199 you spend, while supplies last.
- Shipping: free on orders over $99.
- Availability: Wizards says the drops are sold in limited quantities while supplies last. No fixed end date has been announced, so the closing date is not yet confirmed. Some retail listings call it print-to-demand, but the official announcement says limited quantities, and we go with that.
Peace, Love, & Treefolk
Cards: Doran, the Siege Tower, Timber Protector, Treefolk Harbinger, Leaf-Crowned Elder, and Dauntless Dourbark. This is nearly a ready-made treefolk tribal core. Timber Protector alone sells for around $23, Doran about $8, Leaf-Crowned Elder about $7, Harbinger about $6, and Dourbark about $4. That adds up to roughly $49 for a $29.99 box, and every card goes into the same deck. If you have ever wanted to build Doran, this is the easiest pick of the superdrop.
Labyrinth: Fear Me, Love Me
Cards: Muxus, Goblin Grandee (as Jareth), Goblin Rabblemaster, Boggart Shenanigans, Dance with Calamity, Claim the Firstborn, and Trinisphere. Most of the value comes from Trinisphere at roughly $33, with Muxus adding about $11. The rest are cheap goblin role-players. Muxus makes a fun goblin commander and Rabblemaster fits right in. Trinisphere is more of a high-power or trade piece than a casual favorite, but at about $45 to $48 in singles, the box is a clear win on value.
Labyrinth: Should You Need Us
Cards: Jodah, the Unifier (as Sarah), Lu Xun, Scholar General, Kami of the Crescent Moon, Kogla, the Titan Ape, Shigeki, Jukai Visionary, and Wort, Boggart Auntie. Wort is the surprise here at around $29, because its only earlier printing is old. Kami of the Crescent Moon is about $8, while Jodah and Kogla are about $3 each. Jodah is a strong legends-matter commander, and the Sarah art pairs with the Jareth card from Fear Me, Love Me to form one scene. Expect about $43 in singles.
KPop Demon Hunters: How It’s Done
Cards: Swan Song, Underworld Breach, Demonic Counsel, Tempt with Immortality, Dawn’s Truce, Unbreakable Formation, and Freed from the Real. Swan Song (about $11) and Underworld Breach (about $7 for the cheapest printing) are the headliners. Dawn’s Truce and Unbreakable Formation are useful protection spells in white decks. Total value lands around $30 to $34, so it roughly breaks even. It is a good pick if you like the show or want several playable staples in one box.
Labyrinth: Through the Labyrinth
Cards: Delayed Blast Fireball, Tempt with Discovery, Timely Ward, Chronomantic Escape, Leveler, Thran Temporal Gateway, and Rogue’s Passage. Delayed Blast Fireball (about $15) is a great one-sided board wipe for red decks, and Tempt with Discovery (about $3) is a reliable land tutor. The rest are cheap. At around $28 total, buy it for the art rather than the value.
Artist Series: Veronique Meignaud
Cards: Ashnod’s Altar, Cabal Stronghold, Bloodsoaked Champion, and Voldaren Pariah. Ashnod’s Altar (about $8) is an aristocrats staple and Cabal Stronghold (about $13) is great in mono-black. It comes to roughly $25 to $27, a bit under the price. Artist Series drops tend to hold collector interest, but on value alone it is a narrow miss.
Marvel: Zombies
Cards: Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, Varina, Lich Queen, God-Eternal Bontu, Vogar, Necropolis Tyrant, Zombie Apocalypse, and Unstoppable Slasher. Wilhelt (about $10) and Varina (about $4 for the cheapest printing) are both popular zombie commanders. Overall value is only about $20, so this one is for Marvel fans and zombie players who want a matching set.
Manufactured Grounds by See Machine
Cards: Ancient Den, Seat of the Synod, Vault of Whispers, Great Furnace, and Tree of Tales. These artifact lands are great in affinity-style decks, but each costs a dollar or two. The non-foil box holds roughly $10 in value, so skip it unless you love the art. The foil version may be a better deal, since older foils of these lands are pricier.
Is Corn Maze Worth It for Commander Players?
Yes, selectively. Peace, Love, & Treefolk is the best buy for most casual players because every card fits one deck. Fear Me, Love Me has the highest raw value thanks to Trinisphere, and Should You Need Us delivers a strong commander plus a pricey Wort. How It’s Done is fair. The other four only make sense if you love the art or the license.
The bundles do not save you money compared with buying drops one at a time: the non-foil bundle is exactly eight times $29.99. If you only want two or three drops, buy them individually. Watch the $99 free-shipping line, though. Three non-foil drops come to $89.97, so adding a fourth, or making one of them foil, gets you free shipping.
Other Recent Drops (September)
The Most Powerful Superdrop in the Universe (September 14) brought five Masters of the Universe drops at $29.99 / $39.99, plus bundles from $149.95 to $334.99. For Commander players the highlights were a full-art textless Sol Ring in the She-Ra drop, Sword of War and Peace and a double-sided Command Tower in Sold Separately, and commanders like Derevi, Empyrial Tactician and Winota, Joiner of Forces.
The store also currently lists the Chaos Vault Mood Swings product, and September 2 brought the MSCHF Zeta Set, a $19.92 randomized seven-card booster.
Secret Lair Commander Decks this year
The latest preconstructed deck is Secret Lair Commander Deck: Odds and Ends, which sold for $149.99 during a 24-hour window from September 28 to September 29. Its commander is Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, who casts odd-mana-value spells off the top of your library for free. The deck has 12 foil new-art cards, including Sol Ring, Swords to Plowshares, Esper Sentinel, Sensei’s Divining Top, and Void Winnower, along with reprints like Brainstorm and Fractured Identity. Every order placed in the window will be filled, but most copies are not expected to ship until July 2027 in North America.
Earlier this year Wizards sold a Hatsune Miku Commander deck (August 10, $149.99, also a 24-hour window). No new Secret Lair Commander deck has been announced for the rest of the year yet.
What’s Coming Next
- Festival in a Box: Atlanta, October 19, $249.99. It includes a full Mystery Booster: Commander Edition booster display, which is new to the public, plus the Secret Gallery: Atlanta drop (Regrowth, Assassin’s Trophy, Parallax Tide, Viridian Revel) and four promo cards, including textless Tymna the Weaver and Tana, the Bloodsower. Stock is limited, and the purchase limit is not yet confirmed (one report says two per customer).
- Secret Lair Countdown Kit: Marvel’s History of Heroes, November 2, $199.99. A 30-card collection of classic Marvel comic moments drawn by more than 30 artists, sold in limited quantity. The full card list is not yet confirmed.
- Secret Lair x Marvel: Doomsdrop. Teased at New York Comic Con with art focused on Doctor Doom. The release date, price, and card list are not yet confirmed.
- Secretversary. Secret Lair has often held an anniversary sale late in the year, but a new edition is not yet confirmed.
Quick Buying Tips
- Log in to your Wizards Account before the sale and save your payment and shipping details. Your cart does not hold items until checkout is complete.
- Price out the singles you actually want. If you need only one card from a drop, buying that card alone is usually cheaper.
- Missed a drop? Sealed boxes and singles show up on the secondary market quickly. Search Corn Maze Superdrop listings and compare prices before paying a premium.
