Scions & Spellcraft is the Final Fantasy XIV deck from the Final Fantasy Commander precons, a white-blue-black spells list led by Y’shtola, Night’s Blessed. Every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or more drains each opponent for 2, and you draw at each end step where a player lost 4 or more life. The upgrade adds cheap interaction, life-loss engines and instants that trigger her on every turn.

What the deck does well
- Y’shtola drains and draws on both your turn and opponents’ turns once the spells flow.
- Strong reprints like Swords to Plowshares, Snuff Out and Vindicate give it real interaction.
- Esper colors offer counterspells, removal and sweepers for a controlling game plan.
Where it struggles
- Hypnotic Sprite and Circle of Power are weak cards that rarely matter in Commander.
- Token and equipment pieces like Summon: Good King Mog XII and Blue Mage’s Cane fight the spells plan.
- Expensive setups such as Rite of Replication and Into the Story often rot in hand.

Verdict
Scions & Spellcraft has an excellent commander but too many off-plan token and equipment cards. Swap them for instants, steady life-loss engines and ramp and Y’shtola drains the table while you draw through your deck.
