Counter Blitz is the Final Fantasy X deck from the Final Fantasy Commander precons, a green-white-blue counters list led by Tidus, Yuna’s Guardian. Tidus shuffles counters between your creatures each combat, then draws and proliferates when a creature with counters connects. The upgrade plan is simple: more cheap counter sources, more proliferate, more evasion and better protection for a wide board.
Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($2.45), mid-range ($32.25), premium ($59.98). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well
- Tidus turns every connected attack into a card and a proliferate, so the deck snowballs fast.
- Hardened Scales, Walking Ballista and Gatta and Luzzu give it real counter synergy out of the box.
- Summon Sagas pair nicely with Tidus, who can move or proliferate lore counters for repeat value.
Where it struggles
- Several cards only mention counters without doing much, like Collective Effort and Yuna’s Whistle.
- Symmetrical sweepers such as Promise of Loyalty undo the board this deck works hard to build.
- The top end is clunky: Sunscorch Regent and Pull from Tomorrow cost a lot for little board impact.

Verdict
Counter Blitz has a strong engine in Tidus but too many filler slots and expensive do-nothing cards. Trim those for cheap proliferators, evasive bodies and protection, and it becomes a fast, resilient counters deck.
