Limit Break is the Final Fantasy VII deck from the Final Fantasy Commander precons, a red-green-white equipment list led by Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER. Cloud arrives with haste, straps on an Equipment, and draws cards whenever your equipped creatures attack, adding Treasure once he hits 7 power. The upgrade leans harder into equipment, steadier card draw and protection for your geared-up attackers.

Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($4.80), mid-range ($13.11), premium ($127.20). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well

  • Cloud draws cards every attack and makes Treasure at high power, so the deck rarely runs out of gas.
  • Plenty of equipment support already, with Puresteel Paladin, Champion’s Helm and Skullclamp.
  • Haste on the commander means equipment pays off the turn Cloud lands.

Where it struggles

  • Armory Automaton and Bronze Guardian are slow bodies that barely move the game.
  • Secret Rendezvous and Harmonize are one-shot draw that Cloud already covers better.
  • Off-theme cards like Avalanche of Sector 7 and Heidegger, Shinra Executive dilute the equipment plan.

Recommended upgrades

Pick a budget tab. Every row tells you which card to take out and what to put in.

Cheap swaps (under $2 each) that fix the biggest problems first.

Verdict

Limit Break has a great commander and a solid equipment core, but too many slow creatures and generic draw spells. Swap them for equipment payoffs, cheap protection and efficient removal and Cloud swings much harder.
