Graveyard Overdrive is the Jund deck from Modern Horizons 3 Commander, led by Disa the Restless. Disa puts any Lhurgoyf permanent card that reaches your graveyard from anywhere but the battlefield (usually milled or discarded) straight onto the battlefield, and makes a Tarmogoyf token whenever your creatures connect. The upgrade adds more Lhurgoyfs, ways to turn every creature into one, and self-mill to set it all off.

Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($5.28), mid-range ($26.10), premium ($8.24). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well

  • Disa’s free reanimation is a strong engine with mill and discard from Grisly Salvage and Faithless Looting.
  • Maskwood Nexus already makes every creature card you own a Lhurgoyf, so Disa returns any creature you mill or discard.
  • Lots of new goyfs like Pyrogoyf and Barrowgoyf give the deck a clear identity.

Where it struggles

  • Cascade cards like Bloodbraid Elf and Bituminous Blast don’t feed the graveyard plan.
  • Off-theme threats such as Sawhorn Nemesis and Exterminator Magmarch take slots from Lhurgoyfs.
  • Few ways to make non-goyf creatures count for Disa besides Maskwood Nexus.

Recommended upgrades

Pick a budget tab. Every row tells you which card to take out and what to put in.

Cheap swaps (under $2 each) that fix the biggest problems first.

Verdict

Graveyard Overdrive has a unique engine but only a handful of real Lhurgoyfs to fuel it. Add more goyfs, creature-type enablers and self-mill and Disa becomes a relentless value machine.
