Deadly Disguise floods the board with face-down creatures and leans on Kaust, Eyes of the Glade to flip attackers for free and draw cards when they connect. It is a creature-heavy Naya combat deck where every 2/2 might be a dragon in disguise. These upgrades add payoffs for flipping, cheaper face-down spells and a proper finisher while trimming slow, vanilla morphs.

Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($4.34), mid-range ($4.68), premium ($63.71). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well

  • Kaust skips expensive flip costs on attackers, which acts like a big burst of free mana.
  • Morph classics like Exalted Angel, Hidden Dragonslayer and Den Protector give strong value when flipped.
  • Ramp such as Three Visits, Nature’s Lore and Sakura-Tribe Elder helps you cast and flip creatures sooner.

Where it struggles

  • Root Elemental, Krosan Colossus and Krosan Cloudscraper are pricey bodies with little impact beyond raw stats.
  • Scroll of Fate and Lifecrafter’s Bestiary are slow artifacts in a deck that wants to attack.
  • Austere Command and Decimate can wreck your own board or fizzle when targets are missing.

Recommended upgrades

Pick a budget tab. Every row tells you which card to take out and what to put in.

Cheap swaps (under $2 each) that fix the biggest problems first.

Verdict

Deadly Disguise is a flavorful precon with a unique hidden-information play style, but it starts out slow and short on interaction. Cutting vanilla morphs for flip payoffs, cheap removal and a finisher makes it a genuine threat at casual tables.
