Federation Fleet is the Jeskai deck from the Star Trek Commander release, led by Jean-Luc Picard, Luminary. Picard draws a card whenever another historic permanent with mana value 3 or more enters under your control, and his Seek out ability rewards you for drawing a second card each turn with +1/+1 counters and charge counters for your Spacecraft.
The deck is packed with legendary Officers and starships, so Picard draws a lot of cards. What holds it back is a handful of slow, clunky spells and a mana base with too many tapped lands. The upgrades below give Picard more ways to draw, more artifacts that pay you back, and faster mana.
The precon releases on November 13, 2026. Prices for the new Star Trek cards are early preorder prices and usually drop after release. The upgrade cards themselves are all reprints you can buy today.

What the deck does well
- Picard turns almost every legend and ship into a card, so the deck rarely runs out of gas.
- Lots of legendary creatures with useful enter and attack abilities, plus several Spacecraft that grow into real threats.
- Three colors give you counterspells, removal and some protection.
Where it struggles
- Several cards like Fevered Visions and Chain Reaction work against the deck’s plan or hit your own board.
- Spacecraft need time to station, and the deck has few ways to speed that up.
- The mana base has too many tapped lands for a three-color deck that wants to curve out.

Verdict
Federation Fleet has a strong card-draw commander and a fun theme of crews and starships. The budget tier already makes the deck smoother, and the mid-range tier turns Picard’s card draw into a real engine.
