Dance of the Elements is the five-color Elementals deck from Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander, led by Ashling, the Limitless. Ashling lets Elemental permanent spells from your hand be cast for evoke {4}, and whenever you sacrifice a nontoken Elemental she makes a hasty token copy of it, which you keep only if you pay {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} at your next end step. Evoked Elementals get their enter trigger twice, and their leave or death triggers can fire twice too. The upgrades below lean into that loop and trim the cards that do nothing with it.

Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($3.54), mid-range ($19.73) and premium ($120.20). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well

  • Ashling makes every big Elemental cost four and repeats its enter trigger with a hasty token copy.
  • Plenty of fixing and ramp for a five-color deck straight out of the box, including Faeburrow Elder and Timeless Lotus for Ashling’s {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} upkeep.
  • Strong Elemental reprints like Avenger of Zendikar, Risen Reef and Mulldrifter give it real depth.

Where it struggles

  • Generic removal like Crib Swap and Reality Shift gets nothing from Ashling’s copy trigger.
  • Hoofprints of the Stag and Shatter the Sky are slow, off-plan filler.
  • Non-Elementals like Selvala and Cream of the Crop, plus Bane of Progress blowing up your own mana rocks, pull against the plan.

Recommended upgrades

Pick a budget tab. Every row tells you which card to take out and what to put in.

Cheap swaps (under $2 each): more Elemental payoffs that work with Ashling’s copies.

Verdict

Dance of the Elements is a fun, flexible five-color precon with a commander that rewards every Elemental you play. A handful of trigger doublers and Cavaliers turn it from a pile of good creatures into a real value engine.
