Reign of Dragons is the mono-red Dragon deck from the Foundations Commander precons. Lathliss, Dragon Queen makes a 5/5 flying Dragon whenever another nontoken Dragon enters and pumps your whole flight, so the goal is cheap, efficient Dragons and the ramp to cast them.

Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($6.22), mid-range ($22.53) and premium ($139.24). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well

  • A big Dragon count with payoffs like Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas
  • Dragon cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman
  • Reach-heavy finishers such as Utvara Hellkite

Where it struggles

  • Several low-impact burn spells
  • Mana rocks that enter tapped
  • Not enough ways to deal with artifacts and enchantments

Recommended upgrades
