Desert Bloom is a Naya lands deck that turns your graveyard into a nursery: every Desert card that hits the graveyard makes a 4/2 Plant Warrior with reach. These swaps add land recursion, extra land drops and a lands-based damage engine so Yuma has more fuel and fewer filler cards.
Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($4.19), mid-range ($15.97), premium ($55.68). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well
- Yuma gets cheaper for each land in your graveyard and lets you sacrifice a land to draw a card when it enters or attacks.
- Plenty of Deserts, cycling and self-mill turn ordinary land drops into a steady stream of 4/2 reach tokens.
- Embrace the Unknown’s retrace and Magmatic Insight turn discarded Deserts into extra cards and Plant Warriors.
- Strong value cards like Ramunap Excavator, Titania and Avenger of Zendikar give the deck a high ceiling.
Where it struggles
- Vengeful Regrowth and Sevinne’s Reclamation are clunky one-shot ways to rebuy lands compared with repeatable engines.
- Chromatic Lantern, Perpetual Timepiece and Scaretiller do little in a deck that already fixes and recurs lands easily.
- Removal is thin, and Unholy Heat rarely reaches delirium for its full 6 damage.
Recommended upgrades
Pick a budget tab. Every row tells you which card to take out and what to put in.
Cheap swaps (under $2 each) that fix the biggest problems first.
| Cut | Add | From | Why | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sevinne’s Reclamation | Splendid Reclamation | $0.36 €0.74 | Returns every land in your graveyard to the battlefield at once for four mana. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Electric Revelation | Seismic Assault | $0.62 €0.50 | Each land you discard deals 2 damage to any target, and every discarded Desert also makes a Plant Warrior. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Terramorphic Expanse | Fabled Passage | $0.83 €0.93 | Puts itself in the graveyard just like Terramorphic Expanse, but the basic usually enters untapped once you have four lands. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Unholy Heat | Swords to Plowshares | $0.99 €1.07 | One mana exiles any creature, while Unholy Heat often deals only 2 damage without delirium. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Return of the Wildspeaker | Knight of the Reliquary | $1.39 €1.30 | Gets +1/+1 for each land in your graveyard and can sacrifice a Forest or Plains to fetch any land, including Deserts. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Total | $4.19 | |||
Stronger synergy pieces and better interaction ($2–$8 each).
| Cut | Add | From | Why | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Perpetual Timepiece | Tireless Provisioner | $2.30 €1.91 | Makes a Food or Treasure every time a land enters, which adds up fast with land recursion. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Sunscorched Divide | Riftstone Portal | $2.70 €1.38 | While it is in your graveyard your lands tap for green or white, so milling or discarding it still fixes your mana. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Vengeful Regrowth | Life from the Loam | $4.95 €4.71 | Returns up to three lands to your hand for two mana, and dredge lets you get it back instead of drawing while milling more Deserts. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Marshal’s Anthem | Lotus Cobra | $6.02 €5.89 | Adds a mana of any color every time a land enters, which pays off on recursion and extra-land turns. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Total | $15.97 | |||
Premium upgrades. None of these are on the official Game Changers list, so the deck stays friendly for most casual tables.
| Cut | Add | From | Why | Buy |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Scaretiller | Azusa, Lost but Seeking | $11.24 €8.02 | Two extra land drops each turn let you replay recursed lands and trigger landfall cards more often. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Skullwinder | Surly Badgersaur | $16.33 €13.62 | Every land you discard, including cycled Deserts, makes a Treasure. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |
| Chromatic Lantern | Crucible of Worlds | $28.11 €18.31 | Lets you play lands from your graveyard, so sacrificed and discarded Deserts come back as land drops. | TCGplayer · Cardmarket |

Verdict
Desert Bloom has a fun, distinctive engine but too many slow one-shot effects holding it back. Add a couple of repeatable recursion pieces and a lands payoff and it becomes a genuinely grindy, hard-to-kill threat.
