Desert Bloom is a Naya lands deck that turns your graveyard into a nursery: every Desert card that hits the graveyard makes a 4/2 Plant Warrior with reach. These swaps add land recursion, extra land drops and a lands-based damage engine so Yuma has more fuel and fewer filler cards.

Below you’ll find the full interactive decklist, what the deck does well, where it struggles and our recommended upgrades, split into budget ($4.19), mid-range ($15.97), premium ($55.68). Start with the cheapest swaps and work your way up.

What the deck does well

  • Yuma gets cheaper for each land in your graveyard and lets you sacrifice a land to draw a card when it enters or attacks.
  • Plenty of Deserts, cycling and self-mill turn ordinary land drops into a steady stream of 4/2 reach tokens.
  • Embrace the Unknown’s retrace and Magmatic Insight turn discarded Deserts into extra cards and Plant Warriors.
  • Strong value cards like Ramunap Excavator, Titania and Avenger of Zendikar give the deck a high ceiling.

Where it struggles

  • Vengeful Regrowth and Sevinne’s Reclamation are clunky one-shot ways to rebuy lands compared with repeatable engines.
  • Chromatic Lantern, Perpetual Timepiece and Scaretiller do little in a deck that already fixes and recurs lands easily.
  • Removal is thin, and Unholy Heat rarely reaches delirium for its full 6 damage.

Recommended upgrades

Pick a budget tab. Every row tells you which card to take out and what to put in.

Verdict

Desert Bloom has a fun, distinctive engine but too many slow one-shot effects holding it back. Add a couple of repeatable recursion pieces and a lands payoff and it becomes a genuinely grindy, hard-to-kill threat.
