What the deck does well
- Auntie Ool turns every -1/-1 counter into a card or a point of drain.
- Strong removal suite with Terminate, Putrefy, Infernal Grasp and Assassin’s Trophy.
- Persist and blight creatures give the deck lots of ways to put counters on its own board.
Where it struggles
- Grave Titan and Liliana, Death Wielder are expensive and barely touch the counter plan.
- Hoarder’s Greed, Painful Truths and Night’s Whisper cost a lot of life for draw Auntie already provides.
- Bounce lands like Gruul Turf and other taplands slow the deck down.

Verdict
Blight Curse has a focused, synergistic commander and a solid removal package right out of the box. Swap the off-theme big spells and redundant card draw for counter payoffs and it becomes a grindy, punishing deck.
